Owner and Lead Optometrist
Dr. Rakesh Lakhani was born in London, England, and grew up in Austin, TX. He earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
He then graduated as class valedictorian from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry in 2014. He was the recipient of clinical awards for contact lens excellence, patient clinical care, and the highest ABS board scores within his class. Soon after, he completed his ocular disease residency at Omni Eye Services of Atlanta. Dr. Lakhani has served as the treasurer/secretary, vice president, and president of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association. He most recently was awarded Georgia's Young Optometrist of the Year award at the GOA Fall Conference in October 2021.
He has vast experience in different settings ranging from surgery centers to private practice. Given his passion for charitable care, he participated with the OneSight program by volunteering his optometric services in Mexico. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and trying new cuisines with his wife and newborn son! Dr. Lakhani is proud to serve the East Cobb area and strives to deliver quality eye care for his patients.
Optometrist
Dr. Priscilla Kuo went to the The College of New Jersey for her undergraduate studies before attending the State University of New York for optometry school. She was the vice president for the honors program in her class and received a Walmart Scholarship for achieving academic excellence. She has a special interest in myopia control and likes working with Misight contacts.
Dr. Kuo had a rotation at the West Haven VA hospital for low vision, which led her to take a position in Connecticut after graduation. After a year, she moved to Georgia with her husband. In her free time she enjoys gardening, playing pickleball, and volunteering at her church.
Optometrist
Dr. Joanna Miranda spent some of her childhood in the Philippines, Australia, and Atlanta before her family finally settled down in Charlotte, NC. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry. During her time there, she enjoyed participating in week-long service trips every year, providing free eye care to the under served populations in Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.
She completed her externships at Woolfson Eye Institute in the metro Atlanta area and Coastal Vision Center in Fernandina Beach, FL. She is trained in performing comprehensive exams for all ages, refractive surgery consultations, ocular disease management and treatment, and contact lens fittings. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new recipes, baking and eating desserts, staying active with her husband and daughter, and volunteering in the community.
Optometrist
Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Dr. Cassandra "Cassie" Croy started working in the optometric field in 2010. She worked through different roles in the office, working as a receptionist and a technician. She recently started her career as an optometrist at the same practice. Her experience in the boutique optical setting provided a thorough education in customer service, quality of eyecare, and the daily operations of a small business, which inspired her to become an optometrist.
Dr. Croy studied biology with a business minor at Illinois Wesleyan University while maintaining a spot on the dance team. In 2020, she graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. Shortly after she practiced in the Chicago suburbs and Dallas Forth Worth are. She has now found her new home in Atlanta. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, watching sports, and exploring her new home.
